Barceloneta, Beaches & Harbour.

Barcelona has a long seagoing tradition. Barceloneta, as we know it today, took its first steps in 1753, when its firsts inhabitants, with a strong relationship to the sea, arrived.

This fishing district turned into the perfect factory location when the industrial revolution got to the workers neighborhood, to end up becoming one of the most important leisure spots in town. The mythical Swimming Club next to the beach, the chiringuitos and best fish restaurants can be found here together with the finest urban beaches in Europe.

Planet Barceloneta begins at Colon Square, and goes through the different Paseos with its contemporary sculptures, a city view at the Museum History of Catalonia, to continue into the streets of the Barceloneta Peninsula, where we will discover the surprising historic, industrial, marine Heritage.
