" I want to kill art" Joan Miró.
Joan Miró, nonconformist until the end, founded the Centre Estudis Art Contemporani, today the Joan Miró Foundation, as a centre of dynamic culture and art.
Vanguardist, committed and very imaginative, Joan Miró skipped from fauvism to cubism, to embrace surrealism and ended up wanting to kill art as not be submitted to its style constraints. He created a whole new language and world of constellations. Prolific in his work and multidisciplinary, there are no two Miró, with sculptures from Tokyo to Chigaco, or ceramic murals from Harvard, to Switzerland or Barcelona Terminal 2 Airport, Joan is a local Barcelona artist, gone global.
During Planet Miró we will visit the work of the artist shown at the Foundation located in Montjuich, and after we will go for a walk around the gardens of the mountain to discover the secrets it hides. We will end up having a drink in the "chiringuito" to talk about the life and stories of the universal genius of creation.
